The Cape Youth Baseball League was formed in 1954, and through the years many changes have
been made to keep up with the changing needs of the boys and families who participate in the League.

The Cape Girardeau Youth Baseball League involves over 600 boys from age 5‑19 on approximately 55 teams and was one of the first youth sports leagues in the country to recognize that we need to offer more than just an opportunity to play baseball. For many years our program has been designed to allow all boys to play baseball, regardless of their ability. We have also worked hard to screen coaches to ensure that the boys who participate in Cape Youth Baseball are exposed to some of the most positive adult influences this City has to offer.

Over the years we have had the strong financial support of many businesses, organizations and individuals who have helped us make major improvements in our playing fields, equipment and uniforms.  We also appreciate the continued support of the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department, particularly Dan Muser. We have had a strong partnership with the park department for many years and look forward to it continuing.
